I am a retired Police Officer with over thirty two years of experience. During this time I was a Field Training Officer and a D.A.R.E. instructor for twenty years. I was also in charge of our fleet of vehicles and first-aid supplies.
I am also a member of the National Ski Patrol and an Outdoor Emergency Care technician since 2013 at Wild Mountain Ski area in Taylors Falls.
I first became a CPR instructor in 1977 with the American Red Cross. I have sense become a CPR instructor with the American Heart Association. Through the years I have been involved in many heart emergencies and understand the importance of being prepared to act. I have been involved in Heart Safe community efforts in Coon Rapids and Mounds View, training the public to be prepared. Teaching CPR/AED is very gratifying and making people aware they can be the help.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) strikes at anytime, anywhere and any age. I feel it’s very important for the public to know how easy hands only CPR and how to use of an AED really is.
